What you will do:
  • Experience in implementing and managing Oracle RAC with Data Guard, as well as enterprise DB on Linux or Solaris, and should also be capable of implementing and managing SQL Servers.
  • Managing databases, handling backups, performing recoveries, and applying security patches.
  • Reviewing data within the database, ensuring the integrity of user data, maintaining database support tools, managing database tables and dictionaries, overseeing recovery and backup procedures, and providing recommendations for enhancements and improvements.
  • Configuration and management of Oracle Clusters and ensuring high availability.
  • Proficient in writing bash scripts on a Linux OS for managing Enterprise DB and Oracle databases.
  • Responsible for the configuration and upkeep of Enterprise DB/PostgreSQL.
  • Overseeing the configuration and management of SQL Server clusters to ensure high availability. This position involves performing advanced database administration tasks and evaluating the technical contributions of team members.
  • Engages in database design, identifies database structures, defines database schemas, manages database access privileges, optimizes database queries, documents processes, upgrades database instances, plans for long-term requirements, establishes operational guidelines, and ensures database security.
  • Reviews the data within the database to maintain user database integrity, supports database tools, manages database tables and dictionaries, oversees recovery and backup procedures, and provides suggestions for enhancements and improvements.
  • Monitors and oversees backend data synchronization applications and the retrieval of data from external sources, ensuring smooth application performance.
  • Analyzes customer issues, creates and shares solutions, and then takes necessary corrective measures to start a repair or return.
  • Works together with senior management and clients to implement technical solutions.
  • Offers both remote and on-site support.
  • Aids in the creation and compliance with procedures and policies.
  • Meets customer needs in a 24/7/365 setting.
  • Revises technical solutions, operations, and maintenance documentation for personnel available 24/7/365.

What you will bring:
  • Candidate must have a BS with 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 years of prior relevant experience. Specific experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Higher level knowledge of standards, concepts and tools to be able to complete technology assignments.
  • Domain level technical knowledge to maintain databases, ensure recovery and provide database patches.
  • Experience working independently on technical database administration activities in support of a client on databases.
  • Experience implementing a broad range of assignments requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
  • Experience developing methodologies and presenting solutions to problems to senior management and clients.
  • Experience interfacing with senior management and clients on requirements and solutions.
  • Candidate must, at a minimum, meet DoD 8570.11- IAT Level II certification requirements (currently Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP)
  • U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this position.
