JCS Solutions LLC (JCS) is seeking a Network Technician to join our growing team supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Enterprise Managed Print Services (EMPS) project within the National Capital Region (NCR), primarily the Pentagon, Mark Center, and Springfield, VA. Key Requirements:
  • Provide Enterprise Managed Print Services (EMPS) Support to all facets of installation, operation, device upgrades (i.e., hard drive changes for Secret Internet Protocol Router Network [SIPRNet] to Non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network [NIPRNet] transition), software/firmware replacement and upgrades, decommissioning, logistics, monitoring, management, and restoral of devices.
  • Part of a cross-functional team contributing to network evaluation, hardware/software installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, and installation of components appropriate for classroom and virtual learning infrastructure.
  • Provide support consisting of all facets of analysis, installation, and life cycle management restoral and decommissioning of devices.
  • Provide individual system repair or consumable per incident for geographically dispersed and low-density customers that are out of scope for the base support of this contract.
  • Provide on-site repair and maintenance printer services for restoral of systems not under a maintenance warranty.
  • Provide a Temporary Print Hardware Capability for short-term emerging requirements to meet unforeseen operational requirements in short notice.
  • Install new GFE as part of a life cycle refresh.
  • Maintain health of network equipment, networking tools and applications.
  • Supports technical projects through its entirety: research, conceptualization, feasibility assessment, design, procurement, lab test and evaluation, implementation planning, training, documentation, and transition to the operational environment.
  • Assist with the creation of technical documents including network drawings, test plans, test reports, implementation plans, and white papers.
  • Supports and collaborates in the design of the network enterprise including IP address schemes, routing/switching, segmentation, and security.
  • Knowledgeable in security requirements and techniques for protecting computer systems/networks from attacks, viruses, data tampering, unauthorized system entry, and other emerging threats.
  • Continue education/training in disciplines necessary to perform duties.
Position Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have a fully adjudicated Secret DoD Clearance.
  • Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II security certification 
  • Experience in Enterprise IT systems and understanding how the deployment of IT equipment fits into the broader IT infrastructure of the organization.
  • Possess a unique blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and domain knowledge to navigate the complexities of IT deployment projects effectively.
  • An Associate of Science (A.S.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (e.g., General Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Forensics, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Information Assurance, or Computer Security)
  • In lieu of a degree, at least two (2) years of network-related experience is required.
  • Basic knowledge of packet flow analysis, TCP/IP, and basic network services
  • Familiar with a broad range of IT operations and have a desire to expand their overall knowledge of network infrastructure and components · Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrates a high level of understanding of print device theory.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-functional print device hardware issues.
  • Capable of complex troubleshooting with print devices and associated network infrastructure (i.e. scan-to-email).
  • One or more Certifications from manufacturers’ service providers on multi-functional devices, i.e. HP, Canon, etc.
  • Experience with BMC Remedy.
  • Advanced experience and skills using Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and assignments simultaneously under strict deadlines with minimal direction at times.
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree is desired. in a technical or related field.
Desired Requirements:
  • Mastery of Microsoft tools and applications.
  • Working knowledge of DISA and/or DoD 
  • Top Secret/ SCI Clearance
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
  • Must be able to lift/move 50 pounds (movement of inventory, setting up rooms, etc.)
