Job Summary

- Writes, edits, formats, or creates IT policy and technical documents strategies, special reports, and plans
- Drafts reports and documentation within a client setting
- Develops outlines and drafts for review and approval by technical and project management specialists
- Consults relevant information sources, including library resources, technical and financial documents, and client and project personnel, to obtain background information and verify pertinent guidelines and regulations governing project deliverables
- 5+ years of specialized experience which includes writing and editing Information Technology documents (SOPs, Network Diagrams, Technical Guides, Training Guides, etc)
- Experience gathering, consolidating, and integrating numerous technical and administrative inputs from staff, professional personnel, and technical personnel including engineers, technicians, and project managers
- Experience providing expert advice on the technical writing program, recommending major changes to the technical writing program
- Experience editing a variety of technical documents including design plans, technical reports, proposals, specifications, technical guides, presentations, and white papers
- Experience reviewing technical reports, white papers, proposals, or specifications and discussing with individuals who contributed to the significant accomplishment to gather pertinent facts
- Strong skills in the following key areas including strategic thinking, multi-tasking, time management, planning, and executing to a defined schedule
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Must have or be eligible to hold an HHS Public Trust
