Summary:
JCS is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team! This is a hybrid position, reporting to the Fairfax, VA headquarters three times per week. The HR Generalist will manage day-to-day operations of the HR department, including full life cycle employee support. This position will be the first HR point of contact and a trusted resource for employees.
What you will do:
Manage and respond to inquiries in the HR inbox
Administer New Hire Orientation meetings and manage onboarding process, including monitoring background checks and the E-verify process
Reviews and processes employe status changes
Manages the offboarding process, including conducting exit interviews and completing unemployment claims
Coordinates required HR training for employees
Assist in administering company benefits
Assists in administering company policies, procedures, and creation of SOP’s for the department
Participates and assists with Performance Reviews
Assist in annual open enrollment
Ensure compliance with company practices, policies and procedures
Manages payroll/HR change report
Owns required compliance reporting such as Affirmative Action, EEO-1 and VETS 4212 reporting
Keeps up to date on local, state, and federal compliance requirements
Assists with other HR projects as needed
To be successful, you should have:
Bachelor’s degree in HR or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of generalist experience
Government Contract experience a huge plus
High level of integrity, reliability, and discretion
Takes ownership and accountability of assigned responsibilities
Ability to maintain confidentiality and objectivity when dealing with sensitive subjects and information
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to exercise sound judgment
Strong customer service skills
Desired:
SHRM or HRCI Certification: PHR, SHRM-CP
Experience with BambooHR and ADP Total Workforce
