Job Summary

JCS is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead technical remediation efforts across enterprise Windows and Unix server infrastructure. This role works closely with cybersecurity and configuration management teams to investigate and resolve vulnerabilities identified through Tenable scans. This role plays a critical role in ensuring operational compliance with federal mandates including Binding Operational Directives (BODs), and in addressing know exploitable vulnerabilities (KEVs) and high-risk public-facing findings

What you will do:
  • Provides specialized expertise within multiple systems, software disciplines, and related general disciplines, applications implications, and customer areas
  • Responsible for performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support.
  • Provides quality assurance review and the evaluation of new and existing software products
What you will bring: 
  • 10+ years of experience in system engineering or infrastructure support with a focus on security and compliance 
  • Strong hand-on experience with Tenable Nessus or Tenable Security Center
  • Proficiency in Windows Server 2016-2022 and Unix/Linux environments 
  • Familiarity with federal cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53, FISMA, BOD 22-01)
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., BigFix, Ansible, SCCM, Intune)
  • Scripting experience (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation and remediation 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Must have or be eligible to hold an HHS Public Trust
