JCS is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist. The functional responsibilities of this role are as follows: Analyzes, develops, and evaluates, improvements in methods, procedures and techniques for the targeted systems. The Cybersecurity Support Specialist interacts with the technical staff and the customer to ensure requirements for developing and enhancing systems are satisfied. What you will do:
Three or more years’ experience supporting IT security projects
One or more years of experience with new and emerging cybersecurity technologies including, but not limited to: hand-on tool usage of BigFix, Splunk, Tripwire, Cylance, Tenable, etc.
Demonstrated familiarity with technology product management best practices and concepts (evolving product is whatever solves user problems, outside-in solution approach, syncing function of product management, etc.)
Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio
Strong oral (speak fluent English) and written skills and experience interacting with and presenting to senior leaders, contract officers, etc., within an organization
Strong skills in the following key areas including strategic thinking, multi-tasking, time management, planning and executing to a defined schedule
Experience using a helpdesk ticketing system such as ServiceNow
Prio federal government IT Security experience
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Must have or be eligible to hold an HHS Public Trust
6+ years of cybersecurity experience, specifically relating to vulnerability management and remediation
Hands-on experience with Tenable Nessus and Tenable Security Center
Familiarity with federal cybersecurity compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53, RMF)
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and automation tools
Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, Git, or similar platforms
Understanding of AI/ML applications in IT operations or security compliance
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
