Senior Project Manager

JCS Solutions LLC (JCS) is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager (PM) to oversee and lead agile IT infrastructure and cybersecurity project(s) to support our federal customer.

This role operates with significant autonomy and involves regular contact and engagement with the customer's senior leadership team as well as members of the NICHD and NIH communities. In this role, the ideal candidate will provide guidance and support to enterprise operation teams in ways that promote the client’s operations, maintenance, and engineering efforts. The ideal candidate will be able to oversee agile and waterfall projects, including planning, delivery, and all reporting processes. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience managing staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ability to manage and report on multiple simultaneous projects across multiple domains (cybersecurity, infrastructure, etc)
  • Support the roll out of agile processes across the team, including demonstrations and training staff for agile ceremonies like the daily stand up/planning events or tools like Azure DevOps Boards
  • Create or assist with the creation of routine status reports, including weekly and monthly deliverables, sprint plans, lessons learned, and risk/issue/opportunity tracking
  • Facilitate and lead requirements elicitation and provide resources to streamline the identification and collection of project requirements
  • Create and maintain formal PMO documentation deliverables
  • Participate and lead status meetings, risk reviews, and other check in sessions to ensure projects remain on-schedule
  • Recommend or assist with establishing work priorities and balancing those against break-fix operational needs

Position Requirements:
  • Must be eligible for a Public Trust
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience managing projects with implications on multiple technical domains (infrastructure, cybersecurity, etc)
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps Boards for project tracking and requirements management in an agile environment
Desired Requirements:
  • SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) or SAFe Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Experience leading or participating in the transition to or implementation of agile project management techniques and processes
  • Working knowledge of cloud migration projects, cybersecurity compliance, or IT enterprise operations
  • Previous experience with NIH or its Institutes supporting the scientific research community
