Job Summary:
JCS Solutions has a need for a Tech Control Technician to join our growing Cyber Support Center (CySC) team to collaborate and work in coordination with other Tech Controllers personnel within the National Capital Region. The position is 100% on-site at Joint Base Andrews. The specific duties include but are not necessarily limited to the following:
Perform engineering for new circuit installations, modifications, and deactivations.
Provide technical and operational support to end-user services, network expansions, and modernization of telecommunications backbone systems.
Provide problem resolution for all hardware and software elements of the data communication circuits maintained by the work center to include Commercial and GFE owned networks.
Provide outage and restoration information as required to include restore times.
Ensure the availability of the circuits in coordination with others work centers as required.
Perform status updates and circuit monitoring as required.
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Technically strong and able to make quick, sound decisions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are a must.
What you will bring:
An active DoD Secret Clearance
Valid DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAM II certification. i.e current Security+ certification.
A bachelor’s degree
Education and experience requirements may be substituted with:
A master’s degree and the ability to attain a Security+ce or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT level II certification within 6 months.
No degree with 6 years of intensive and progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency levels related to task and a current Security+ce or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT level II certification.
This position requires a minimum of two years’ of relevant experience.
Demonstrated ability to communicate orally and in writing and a positive customer service attitude
Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
