Job Summary
JCS Solutions is seeking a Junior Endpoint Systems Administrator to support endpoint management and enterprise IT operations for the NICHD program in Bethesda, Maryland. You will help ensure the reliability, security, and performance of Windows endpoints and related enterprise services through imaging, configuration, software deployment, troubleshooting, patch management, compliance support, and end-user assistance. The ideal candidate brings hands-on endpoint administration experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while supporting mission-critical operations.

Salary: 
$95,000.00 - $110,000.00

What you will do:
  • Configure, image, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot Windows endpoints, approved applications, peripherals, and related enterprise services.
  • Support software distribution, patching, configuration baselines, and endpoint security compliance using SCCM, JAMF Pro, BigFix, or assigned management tools.
  • Assist with Active Directory administration, Group Policy support, Windows Server environments, VMware platforms, PowerShell scripting activities, permissions management, and endpoint administration tasks within assigned access levels.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printing, connectivity, access, and configuration issues.
  • Document incidents, service requests, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions within the ticketing system.
  • Escalate complex technical issues appropriately while maintaining ownership of assigned work.
  • Maintain detailed configuration records, standard operating procedures (SOPs), knowledge base articles, and technical documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with end users throughout the service and support lifecycle.
  • Support organizational security, change management, and compliance requirements.
  
What you will bring: 
  • Hands-on experience configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting Windows endpoints, applications, operating system images, and peripherals.
  • Working knowledge of endpoint and configuration management practices, including software deployment, patching, upgrades, asset records, and security compliance.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, SCCM, JAMF Pro, VMware, and Windows Server sufficient to perform assigned work and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Ability to follow established SOPs, security procedures, change controls, ticketing processes, and customer service expectations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or seven (7) years of applicable experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to obtain or maintain an HHS Public Trust Tier II clearance or eligibility for sponsorship.

  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar IT service management and ticketing platforms.
  • Experience with remote support tools, Windows imaging technologies, and vulnerability remediation activities.
  • Microsoft, CompTIA, ITIL, HDI, or endpoint management certifications.
  • Strong customer service, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and knowledge-sharing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative IT support environment.

 At JCS Solutions, compensation is based on a number of factors such as location, qualifications, and applicable contract terms. The general salary range for this position is as follows: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00
